The Day I Stopped Apologising and Started Fighting for Tenants’ Rights

There comes a moment when life doesn’t ask you what you want to be.
It pushes you and It breaks you, while in that breaking, you either stay down… or you rebuild with purpose.

A year ago I was just another tenant, ignored, dismissed, struggling to survive a housing nightmare no one wanted to hear about. Now, i chose to stand up and build something real out of something horrible and no, I don’t care if that makes some people uncomfortable simply because i’m being myself. This Is not about them and let’s get this clear, Tenant Support UK is not about making solicitors feel good, about fitting in, or softening the truth to make landlords feel clever, absolutely not.

This was about survival and then it became about justice, but now it’s about transformation, mine, and everyone else’s who’s been told they don’t have a voice.

To all the UK Solicitors Who Will Undoubtedly Read This

Yes, I know you might be watching and I know you’ll screenshot everything that sounds “regulated”. Yes, I know you’ll sit in your office drafting internal memos about whether I’m “edging close to providing legal advice.” But guess what? I’m not you and I don’t need to be, I don’t hide behind template replies and i don’t charge people £200 to care. I don’t need a title to empower someone who’s been silenced. You can scrutinise me all you want but the truth is that I’m doing something you never dared, helping people understand the system you built to keep them confused.

This is a career i never asked for, but will never give up. I didn’t grow up saying “I want to fight housing injustice.” I didn’t expect to learn UK housing law by necessity, mental health breakdown and tribunal deadlines, but here I am. And I will never regret the day I chose to fight back, because from that day on, I stopped being just a tenant and transforming into someone who’s ready to bring, push, and make systemic change, not just personal noise.

I am not a solicitor , never pretended, and that’s the point. I’m here to be what solicitors can’t, Relatable. Raw. Real. I speak human, not statute, I’ve cried with people, not billed them and I’ve handed out knowledge like it was a lifeline, because for many of us, it is. And while others mock or dismiss, one thing remains clear, I’m not building a brand. I’m building a movement and this is just the beginning.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking things like “Is he even allowed to do this?” “Is this guy regulated?” “Is he stepping into legal territory?” “Is this professional?”. Well…welcome to the echo chamber of unsolicited legal opinions and the truth is that everyone has a viewpoint, and they’re entitled to it. I must emphasize that i didn’t build Tenant Support UK to win over critics, but because I lived the struggle. And I worked damn hard to become knowledgeable, not to claim titles I don’t have, but to fill the support gap that shouldn’t even exist.

This isn’t about being confrontational. This isn’t about declaring war on the legal world. And no, not all solicitors act in the same shady, delay-and-deflect fashion we’ve exposed. There are brilliant, ethical solicitors out there and I genuinely hope some of them are nodding along in agreement right now because If you’re one of them, you’re not the problem. You’re the exception that proves the rule.

If you’re reading this and you’ve ever been told to shut up, move out, or stop asking questions, please just don’t.

Speak louder. Learn the law. Ask for help. Then help the next person up too.

That’s what Tenant Support UK is for.
That’s why I’ll keep going, no matter how many solicitors roll their eyes or tribunals raise theirs.

Because this?
This is bigger than me.
This is what happens when someone breaks, and rebuilds with purpose.

Jesus, mate… how the fuck did you end up knee deep in the wetlands of Great Britain fighting letting agents instead of insurgents? You always did have a thing for lost causes. Keep the boots muddy.

Chi ha condiviso certi corridoi con te sa che non è fortuna e in Italia sarebbe impossibile fare metà di quello che stai facendo senza finire sotto osservazione. Continua a muoverti nell’ombra come hai sempre fatto. Alcuni di noi ti stanno ancora guardando anche se da lontano
